Biocept and Aegea Biotechnologies have entered into an agreement to co-develop a highly sensitive PCR-based assay, designed by Aegea, to detect the Covid-19 virus. The assay will be based on the Switch-Blocker technology used in Biocept’s oncology-focused assays. The test is expected to boost the sensitivity to detect Covid-19-causing SARS-CoV-2 virus and to offer additional information on specific types of strains.

The Human Behavioral Intelligence Platform is said to be the first artificial intelligence-based approach that is used in the field, with HY Laboratories being the main provider of Covid-19 tests solutions in Israel, and using it to grade testing samples to enable efficient test pooling.
