Milford Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory’s Sanger Sequencing is claimed to detect all known SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern and interest, including Omicron and Delta. Director Sin Hang Lee said that the high complexity CLIA-certified laboratory offers the diagnostic test to patients as well as the healthcare providers directly. Milford is said to be the only lab in the US to provide this test.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has contacted Covid-19 rapid antigen test kit suppliers to check the pricing levels in the market. The antitrust regulator noted that it will analyse the data obtained from suppliers, retailers as well as the public to determine any possible misconduct. Till date, more than a dozen of rapid antigen test kits are approved for use in the country with most of them from China.
