DrFirst has partnered with 38 electronic health record (EHR) companies to expand access to its Backline telehealth service to over 100,000 healthcare providers throughout the US.

Backline is currently used by more than 1,300 organisations, with over two million minutes of telehealth visits occurring within in the past month due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

The software contains features such as secure chat, video calling, electronic signatures and document sharing to allow healthcare providers to connect with patients and each other from any location.

eMDs executive vice president of business development and marketing Patrick Hall said: “We are expanding our partnership with DrFirst to offer our clients Backline for telehealth, so they can continue to collaborate with care teams and treat patients from a safe distance.”
