Innovation network EIT Health has announced funding of over €6m to support the fight against Covid-19, with the cash being dedicated to 14 selected health innovation projects across Europe.
The 14 projects cover biotech, diagnostics, digital health and medtech, and will be run by 36 partners. The projects will be completed by the end of 2020, and focus on areas including clinical triaging, home monitoring, and measures to reduce shortages of personal protective equipment.

EIT Health director of innovation Jorge Fernández García said: “The projects have been selected based on their scientific and technological innovation, and address areas of immediate and high unmet need in relation to Covid-19.”
