Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas has launched the new wireless handheld ultrasound device, PocketPro H², for general point-of-care imaging applications.

It is intended for vascular access, needle guidance, musculoskeletal (MSK) and pain management applications.

PocketPro H² is a suitable device to quickly evaluate soft tissue, including inflammation, tears and instability in the cartilage, tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. Its user-friendly interface facilitates one-hand operation.

Designed to provide 90 minutes of continuous scanning, the device features colour and pulsed-wave doppler, M-Mode functions, customised imaging presets and a 6MHz-12MHz range.

The device can share ultrasound images throughout the care team, which enables improved patient diagnosis and intervention coordination or treatment.

Compatible with DICOM, the device also wirelessly links to several iOS and Android smart devices through a downloadable app for viewing images at the point of care or wherever required. It can also be connected to any vendor PACS.

Supported by the company’s service solutions, the handheld device has remote installation and support and provides access to educational offerings.
