Based in the US, Thomas Scientific is a distributor of medical equipment and instruments, while Denville Scientific, also based in the US, is a life science equipment and consumables provider.

Thomas has simultaneously entered another definitive merger agreement to acquire US-based life science research company Data Sciences International Inc (DSI) for $70m.

Chinese company Guangzhou Kingmed Diagnostics Group Co Ltd plans to acquire 50% stake in a gene testing company named DRA Company Limited for CNY150m ($23.43m).

Zhejiang Jianfeng Group Co Ltd plans to acquire 55% stake in a company based in Shanghai for CNY111.3m (17.39m).
