Software as a service (SaaS)-based technology platform Seqster has launched Covid-19 Compass into its interoperability platform amid the growing coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak across the world.
The compass module allows healthcare enterprises to remotely track the health of research subjects who may have been exposed to Covid-19.
Seqster’s Covid-19 Compass is designed based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, best clinical practices and illness severity.
In addition, the company has taken into consideration risk factors such as age, gender, location, potential exposure and pre-existing health conditions.

The Seqster platform allows patients to share key health metrics related to Covid-19 such as body temperature, heart rate and pulse oximetry, already synced with devices connected to their Seqster profile.
With the addition of the Covid-19 Compass, patients will be now able to self-report shortness of breath, fatigue and coughing associated with the coronavirus infection.
This will enable study managers to easily monitor their subjects in real-time and take necessary action to ensure that their health remains a top priority.
Furthermore, the platform generates helpful statistical tables and graphs to assist patients and the research community in better understanding the trends nationally and within geographic regions.
Covid-19 compass is built on the cloud-based Seqster platform hosted on HIPAA-compliant and HITRUST-certified servers.
The technology automatically scales thousands of active users and receives updated content as Covid-19 guidelines evolve.
