Siemens’ healthcare division Siemens Healthineers has entered a strategic partnership with Fast-track Diagnostics (FTD) to provide expanded molecular testing solutions to its customers.
Under the new collaboration, FTD's range of CE-Marked kits and multisyndromic panels will be added to the pipeline of Siemens Healthineers' VERSANT kPCR Molecular System.

The FTD's range includes kits and panels for different gastroenteritis, respiratory and central nervous system (CNS) conditions, as well as for childhood infections.
The addition of the panels is expected to broaden Siemens Healthineers' complete molecular testing solution, as well as enable it to provide better extraction, detection performance, and enhanced workflow efficiency for molecular labs of all sizes.

Fast-track Diagnostics CEO Bill Carman said: "The VERSANT kPCR Molecular System is perfectly suited to our wide range of assays, which means laboratories can now diagnose nearly any infectious disease in one workflow.”
With the single, consolidated system, which includes a broad menu and virtually open platform, Siemens Healthineers aims to allow healthcare providers to offer value-based care.
