US-based medical solutions provider Biomerics is planning to open a new facility for its Biomerics Advanced Catheter division in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

The 52,000ft² facility will be located near the intersection of US Route 169 and the Minnesota State Highway 610 in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Biomerics Advanced Catheter designs, manufactures and produces medical devices suited for minimally invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Biomerics CEO Travis Sessions said: "We remain committed to providing next-generation solutions to the cardiovascular, structural heart, cardiac rhythm management, electrophysiology, and neurovascular markets."

The new facility will feature engineering offices, research and development labs, and cleanroom manufacturing operations.

"This new facility will allow us to better integrate our minimally invasive engineering technologies with large-scale manufacturing solutions."

It is designed to offer a vertically integrated platform to manufacture and develop advanced catheters and device leads and will house Biomerics’ precision extrusion, catheter braiding/coiling, reflow, assembly, and packaging operations.

The new facility is currently under construction and is expected to be operational before the year-end.
