China medical industry registered a 3.2% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring an increased by 9.74% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.77% share in June 2021, recording decrease of 0.36% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in China medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China medical industry in June 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 68.87% in June 2021, a 13.1% drop over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 15.09% share, decline of 20% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 13.21%, registering a 55.56% rise from May 2021.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 1.89%, up 100% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in China IT recruitment activity in June 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 40.74% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China medical industry during June 2021 over May 2021.

Sartorius posted 37 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 516.67% over the previous month, followed by Thermo Fisher Scientific with 12 jobs and a 14.29% drop. GE Healthcare with 12 IT jobs and PerkinElmer with 11 jobs, recorded a 45.45% drop and a 57.14% increase, respectively, while PPD Group recorded a 20% decline with 4 job postings during June 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.87%, down by 23.96% from May 2021. Entry Level positions with a 19.81% share, a growth of 250% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 11.32% share, down 29.41% over May 2021.
