Notably, robotics was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q3 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of big data and regenerative medicine, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the medical industry, Medtronic had the greatest increase in references for robotics in Q3 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 19 robotics-related sentences in the company's filings - 2% of all sentences - and a decrease of 17% in Q3 2023 compared with Q3 2022. Smith & Nephew’s mentions of robotics rose by 467% to 17 and Intuitive Surgical’s by 43% to 10 and Stryker’s by 57% to 6 and Siemens Healthineers’s by 33% to 4.
