Notably, social responsibility was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q3 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of cyber insurance and medical device quality control, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the medical industry, Danaher had the greatest increase in references for social responsibility in Q3 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 127 social responsibility-related sentences in the company's filings - 5% of all sentences - and a decrease of 25% in Q3 2023 compared with Q3 2022. Becton Dickinson and Co’s mentions of social responsibility rose by 6200% to 126 and Henry Schein’s by 5% to 109 and Agilent Technologies’s by 900% to 100 and Edwards Lifesciences’s by 39% to 65.
