US-based company GE Healthcare’s IT hiring rose 13.8% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 12.37% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 20.79% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 1.45% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops GE Healthcare IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by GE Healthcare, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 83.07% in August 2021, and a 28.31% drop over July 2021, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 6.35% in August 2021, and registered a decline of 7.69%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 4.76% in August 2021, an 18.18% drop from July 2021.

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 62.43% share, which marked a 16.9% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 23.28%, registering a 31.25% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with an 8.99% share and a 51.43% drop over July 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 4.76% and a month-on-month flat growth. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.53%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 40.74% share in August 2021, a 6.1% decline over July 2021. US featured next with a 22.22% share, down 25% over the previous month. China recorded a 19.58% share, a decline of 30.19% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead GE Healthcare IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.37%, down by 11.24% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 16.93% share, a decline of 51.52% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 2.65% share, down 61.54% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.06%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
