Between 8 May and 14 May, 13,852 medtech jobs were posted worldwide by 398 companies, according to the GlobalData jobs analytics tool. This represents a small increase of just over 5% compared to the 13,151 jobs posted in the previous week.

Getinge was once again the most prolific hirer, posting 1,294 jobs. It was yet again followed by Danaher and Bausch Health, which posted 1,097 and 1,058 jobs respectively.

Danaher announced on 13 May that it has appointed A. Shane Sanders to its Board of Directors and to its Audit Committee, expanding the size of its board from 12 to 13 members. Sanders has extensive experience working in corporate finance, and is currently Verizon Communications’ senior vice president of business transformation.

Bausch Health partners with SIFI in Russia

Bausch Health’s Russian branch has partnered with international ophthalmic company SIFI to market its ophthalmic products in the country. Five SIFI products will be marketed, with initial sales expected to commence in 2021.

Bausch Health Russia will have the option to commercialise future SIFI products currently in development.

Bausch Health vice president Cees Heiman said: “Bausch Health is pleased to partner with SIFI, because together we can ensure Russian eye health doctors and their patients have greater access to these important ophthalmic medications.”
