July 2021 has seen an increase of 17.68% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 10.62% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering decrease of 3.35% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 65.38% in July 2021, a 43.33% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 15.38% in July 2021, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Research Scientists with a share of 7.69% in July 2021, a 100% growth from June 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 4.55% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s medical industry during July 2021 over previous month.
GE Healthcare posted 9 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered an increase of 350% over the previous month, followed by Medtronic with 6 jobs and a 64.71% drop. Thermo Fisher Scientific with 2 IT jobs and Agilent Technologies with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Healthy io recorded a 100% increase with 2 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s medical industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 73.08% share in July 2021, a 29.63% decline over June 2021. South Sudan featured next with a 7.69% share, flat growth over the previous month. Kuwait recorded a 7.69% share, a flat growth compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 50%, down by 53.57% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 23.08% share, a growth of 20% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 23.08% share, down 25% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 3.85%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
