April 2021 has seen an increase of 1.93% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2021.

IT jobs accounted for an 8.49% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2021, registering an increase of 0.51% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 58.43% in April 2021, a 0.61% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 10.05% in April 2021, marking a 4.24% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 8.85% in April 2021, a 7.44% drop from March 2021.

Top five medical companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in April 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 3.79% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s medical industry during April 2021 over previous month.
Danaher posted 322 IT jobs in April 2021 and registered a an increase of 2.55% over the previous month, followed by Sonova with 162 jobs and a 3.57% drop. Becton Dickinson and with 114 IT jobs and Medtronic with 88 jobs, recorded a 21.92% decline and a 22.22% increase, respectively, while 3M Health Care recorded a 107.69% an increase with 81 job postings during April 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s medical industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 91.02% share in April 2021, a 2.01% decline over March 2021. Canada featured next with a 7.78% share, down 13.79% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 1.2% share, a drop of 6.9% compared with March 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.99%, up by 37.14% from March 2021. Mid Level positions with a 14.05% share, a decline of 50.55% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.96% share, down 65.99% over March 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 2%, recording a month-on-month growth of 400%.
