The top five companies accounted for 13% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Johnson & Johnson filed the most smart hospitals patents within the medical industry in Q3 2023. The company filed 75 smart hospitals-related patents in the quarter, compared with 63 in the previous quarter. It was followed by Koninklijke Philips with 50 smart hospitals patent filings, Medtronic (47 filings), and DexCom (32 filings) in Q3 2023.
