US-based company Abbott Laboratories IT hiring declined 0.5% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 0.25% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 6.68% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 0.64% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Abbott Laboratories IT hiring in June 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Abbott Laboratories, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 50.82% in June 2022, and a 5.08% rise over May 2022, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 13.11% in June 2022, and registered a decline of 11.11%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.11% in June 2022, an 11.11% drop from May 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Abbott Laboratories

North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 66.39% share, which marked a 5.19% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 18.03%, registering a 4.76% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with an 11.48% share and a 44% drop over May 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.46% and a month-on-month decline of 70%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.64%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 65.57% share in June 2022, a 5.26% growth over May 2022. Ireland featured next with a 4.92% share, down 14.29% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead Abbott Laboratories IT hiring activity in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.66%, down by 37.29% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.05% share, a growth of 175% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.3% share, up 400% over May 2022.
