The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 10.39% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.25% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.43% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 36.36% in July 2022, registering a 42.86% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed an 18.18% share, an increase of 300% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 18.18%, registering a 33.33% decline from June 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 18.18%, flat growth over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 128.57% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s medical industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Cochlear posted 6 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 200% over the previous month, followed by Masimo with 6 jobs and a flat growth. Idexx Laboratories with 2 IT jobs and Orion Health with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Agilent Technologies recorded a decline of 50% with 1 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.18%, up by 7.14% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with an 18.18% share, registered a decline of 55.56% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 13.64% share, flat growth over June 2022.
