Australia’s medical industry registered a 4.8% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 10.39% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.25% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.43% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Australia’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 95.45% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s medical industry in July 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 36.36% in July 2022, registering a 42.86% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed an 18.18% share, an increase of 300% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 18.18%, registering a 33.33% decline from June 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 18.18%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 128.57% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s medical industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
Cochlear posted 6 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 200% over the previous month, followed by Masimo with 6 jobs and a flat growth. Idexx Laboratories with 2 IT jobs and Orion Health with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Agilent Technologies recorded a decline of 50% with 1 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.18%, up by 7.14% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with an 18.18% share, registered a decline of 55.56% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 13.64% share, flat growth over June 2022.
