Australia’s medical industry registered a 19.6% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 16.65% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.82% share in November 2021, recording a decrease of 0.8% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Australia’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.08% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s medical industry in November 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 46.15% in November 2021, registering a 33.33% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 21.15% share, an increase of 450% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 11.54%, registering a 20% rise from October 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 11.54%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 311.11% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s medical industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
Intelerad Medical Systems posted 13 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a rise of 1200% over the previous month, followed by Cochlear with 10 jobs and a 233.33% growth. ResMed with 8 IT jobs and Medtronic with 3 jobs, recorded a 60% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Abbott Laboratories recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.31%, up by 105.88% from October 2021. Entry Level positions with a 23.08% share, registered an increase of 200% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.62% share, down 16.67% over October 2021.
