The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 14.31% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.18% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 1.01% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 26.47% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s medical industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Sonova posted 18 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a drop of 14.29% over the previous month, followed by Intelerad Medical Systems with 12 jobs and a 9.09% growth. Thermo Fisher Scientific with 5 IT jobs and Circle Medical Devices with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Boston Scientific recorded an increase of 100% with 4 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.88%, down by 8.33% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 10.29% share, registered a decline of 22.22% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.35% share, down 37.5% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.47%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
