Canada’s medical industry registered a 4.5% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.86% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.11% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 1.19% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Canada’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.11% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s medical industry in April 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 69.81% in April 2022, registering a 64.44% growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a 13.21% share, an increase of 133.33% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.55%, registering a 166.67% rise from March 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.77%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Canada’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 230.43% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s medical industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Intelerad Medical Systems posted 29 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 866.67% over the previous month, followed by Sonova with 26 jobs and a 62.5% growth. Danaher with 9 IT jobs and em-tec with 7 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 75% flat growth, respectively, while Zimmer Biomet Holdings recorded a flat growth with 5 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.98%, up by 54.35% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.81% share, registered an increase of 90.91% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.26% share, up 85.71% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.94%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
