China’s medical industry IT recruitment activity drops 10.7% in May 2022

China’s medical industry registered a 10.7% drop in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 11.45% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.96% share in May 2022, recording a decrease of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in China’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry in May 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 65.38% in May 2022, registering a 43.33% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 19.23% share, an increase of 25% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.69%, registering a 100% rise from April 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 7.69%, down 33.33% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 80% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry during May 2022 over April 2022.

Danaher posted 6 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a rise of 50% over the previous month, followed by Thermo Fisher Scientific with 4 jobs and a 33.33% growth. Align Technology with 3 IT jobs and GE Healthcare with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 50% growth, respectively, while Agilent Technologies recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during May 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.92%, down by 31.03% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with an 11.54% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.54% share, down 66.67% over April 2022.
