China’s medical industry registered a 14.0% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 12.23% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.67% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 1.19% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 62.79% in October 2022, registering a 32.5% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 13.95% share, an increase of 20% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.95%, registering a flat growth from September 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.65%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 3.45% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Danaher posted 10 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 11.11% over the previous month, followed by GE Healthcare with 6 jobs and a 200% growth. Medtronic with 5 IT jobs and Thermo Fisher Scientific with 5 jobs, recorded a 66.67% growth and a 58.33% decrease, respectively, while Baxter International recorded an increase of 33.33% with 4 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.12%, down by 37.78% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.28% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 16.28% share, up 16.67% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.33%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
