April 2022 has seen an increase of 6.2% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 9.68% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2022, registering a decrease of 1.25% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 63.42% in April 2022, a 21.15% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 16.6% in April 2022, marking a 40.87% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 10.55% in April 2022, a 6.19% rise from March 2022.

Top five medical companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 29.38% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s medical industry during April 2022 over previous month.
Sonova posted 190 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered an increase of 1.6% over the previous month, followed by Intelerad Medical Systems with 126 jobs and a flat growth. Fresenius SEKGaA with 63 IT jobs and Sartorius with 58 jobs, recorded a flat growth and an 18.37% rise, respectively, while Demant recorded a 68.15% decline with 43 job postings during April 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s medical industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 25.2% share in April 2022, a 17.17% decrease over March 2022. The UK featured next with a 22.85% share, up 38.51% over the previous month. Switzerland recorded an 18.75% share, a drop of 4.69% compared with March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.2%, down by 3.67% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.55% share, registered a decline of 13.94% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.14% share, down 48.44% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.1%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
