Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in October 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 46.97% in October 2022, a 28.53% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 27.46% in October 2022, marking a 38.1% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 9.85% in October 2022, a 59.06% drop from September 2022.

Top five medical companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 24.12% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s medical industry during October 2022 over previous month.
Intelerad Medical Systems posted 73 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered an increase of 43.14% over the previous month, followed by Sonova with 69 jobs and a 48.51% drop. Arjo with 58 IT jobs and Demant with 18 jobs, recorded a 34.83% drop and a 37.93% drop, respectively, while Alcon recorded a 125% increase with 18 job postings during October 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s medical industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 36.74% share in October 2022, a 6.59% increase over September 2022. Switzerland featured next with a 16.1% share, down 42.95% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 14.39% share, a drop of 20% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.89%, down by 24.68% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 12.69% share, registered a decline of 30.21% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 9.28% share, down 18.33% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.14%, recording a month-on-month growth of 500%.
