Germany’s medical industry registered a 14.7% drop in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 21.41% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.72% share in May 2022, recording a decrease of 0.35% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.65% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry in May 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 60% in May 2022, registering a 32.89% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 14.12% share, a decrease of 53.85% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 11.76%, registering a 23.08% decline from April 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 8.24%, down 41.67% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 35.21% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry during May 2022 over April 2022.

medi GmbHKG posted 20 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 25.93% over the previous month, followed by Sartorius with 8 jobs and a 55.56% drop. Bruker with 8 IT jobs and Carl Zeiss with 5 jobs, recorded a 42.86% decline and a 16.67% decrease, respectively, while Agilent Technologies recorded a decline of 16.67% with 5 job postings during May 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.29%, down by 40.74% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.47% share, registered a decline of 39.13% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.24% share, down 12.5% over April 2022.
