Germany’s medical industry registered an 18.4% drop in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 7.19% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.05% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 0.87% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry in June 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 58.88% in June 2022, registering a 16% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 17.76% share, an increase of 26.67% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 12.15%, registering a 35% decline from May 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.61%, down 57.14% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 13.64% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

medi GmbHKG posted 25 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 25% over the previous month, followed by Arjo with 10 jobs and a 47.37% drop. Sartorius with 9 IT jobs and Thermo Fisher Scientific with 8 jobs, recorded a 30.77% decline and a 300% growth, respectively, while Bruker recorded a decline of 58.33% with 5 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.36%, down by 17.44% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.3% share, registered a decline of 27.78% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.48% share, down 27.27% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.87%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
