Germany’s medical industry registered a 7.0% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 14.01% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.65% share in October 2021, recording an increase of 1.37% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 106.43% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry in October 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 60.36% in October 2021, registering a 29.88% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 22.5% share, a decrease of 7.35% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15%, registering a 23.53% rise from September 2021.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.71%, up 6.67% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 29.79% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry during October 2021 over September 2021.

medi GmbHKG posted 65 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 14.47% over the previous month, followed by Sarstedt AGKG with 35 jobs and a 29.63% growth. Arjo with 29 IT jobs and Sartorius with 20 jobs, recorded a 30.95% decline and a 17.65% growth, respectively, while Carl Zeiss recorded a decline of 78.08% with 16 job postings during October 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.57%, down by 22.58% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.71% share, registered a decline of 40.54% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.71% share, up 4.76% over September 2021.
