India’s medical industry registered a 0.1% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.87% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 23.06% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 2.29% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in India’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.72% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s medical industry in June 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 69.23% in June 2022, registering a 3.85% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 12.25% share, an increase of 26.47% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.69%, registering a 28.57% rise from May 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 6.84%, up 9.09% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 34.55% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s medical industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Thermo Fisher Scientific posted 72 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 1100% over the previous month, followed by Carl Zeiss with 44 jobs and a 35.29% drop. Danaher with 43 IT jobs and GE Healthcare with 41 jobs, recorded a 2.38% growth and a 51.85% growth, respectively, while Baxter International recorded a flat growth with 22 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.56%, down by 9.3% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 34.76% share, registered an increase of 34.07% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.69% share, up 54.55% over May 2022.
