Ireland-based company Medtronic ’s IT hiring declined 4.2% in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 3.74% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 9.62% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded a 3.5% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Medtronic IT hiring in September 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Medtronic, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 44.12% in September 2022, and a 3.45% rise over August 2022, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 19.85% in September 2022, and registered flat growth. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 10.29% in September 2022, a 6.67% drop from August 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Medtronic

North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in September 2022 with a 51.47% share, which marked a 22.22% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 23.53%, registering a flat month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 16.18% share and a 57.14% rise over August 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 5.88% and a month-on-month increase of 300%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 2.94%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 49.26% share in September 2022, a 24.72% decline over August 2022. India featured next with a 19.85% share, up 12.5% over the previous month. Israel recorded a 5.88% share, an increase of 300% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Medtronic IT hiring activity in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 45.59%, down by 8.82% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 30.88% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 22.06% share, down 6.25% over August 2022.
