Mexico’s medical industry registered a 1.0% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.65% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.99% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 2.01% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Mexico’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s medical industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 37.93% in July 2022, registering a 35.29% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 24.14% share, an increase of 600% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 17.24%, registering a 150% rise from June 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 10.34%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 4.35% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s medical industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Thermo Fisher Scientific posted 8 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 42.86% over the previous month, followed by Baxter International with 5 jobs and a 150% growth. Koninklijke Philips with 5 IT jobs and Integer with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 50% growth, respectively, while Insulet recorded a decline of 40% with 3 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 89.66%, up by 30% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 6.9% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.45% share, down 66.67% over June 2022.
