Middle East & Africa’s medical industry IT hiring activity rises 1.4% in November 2021

Middle East & Africa witnessed a 1.4% rise in IT hiring activity in the medical industry in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics dashboard.

November 2021 has seen an increase of 16.57% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 14.22% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2021, registering a decrease of 0.37% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2021

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 65.52% in November 2021, a 26.92% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 10.34% in November 2021, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 10.34% in November 2021, a 50% rise from October 2021.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 10.34% in November 2021, a 50% decline over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 18.52% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s medical industry during November 2021 over previous month.

Medtronic posted 8 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a decline of 42.86% over the previous month, followed by Danaher with 5 jobs and a 150% growth. Vayyar Imaging with 4 IT jobs and Healthy io with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while GE Healthcare recorded a 75% decline with 2 job postings during November 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s medical industry

Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 62.07% share in November 2021, a 30.77% decrease over October 2021. Saudi Arabia featured next with a 13.79% share, up 33.33% over the previous month. United Arab Emirates recorded a 6.9% share, a drop of 50% compared with October 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.31%, down by 17.86% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 10.34% share, registered a decline of 66.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.34% share, down 25% over October 2021.
