Switzerland-based company Sonova’s IT hiring rose 7.5% in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 4.63% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 11.66% share in the company’s total hiring activity in April 2022, and recorded a 0.58% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Sonova IT hiring in April 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Sonova, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 74.1% in April 2022, and a 6.49% rise over March 2022, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 13.55% in April 2022, and registered growth of 18.42%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 4.52% in April 2022, a 16.67% drop from March 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Sonova

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in April 2022 with a 57.23% share, which marked a 1.6% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 42.77%, registering a 14.52% month-on-month growth.

Switzerland commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 49.7% share in April 2022, a 3.51% decline over March 2022. US featured next with a 32.23% share, up 1.9% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 7.83% share, an increase of 62.5% compared with March 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Sonova IT hiring activity in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.47%, up by 7.69% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.39% share, a growth of 10.94% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.14% share, down 5.13% over March 2022.
