September 2021 has seen a decrease of 13.94% in the overall hiring activity when compared with August 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 4.55% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in September 2021, registering a decrease of 2.1% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in September 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 69.44% in September 2021, a 47.06% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 8.33% in September 2021, marking a 50% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 8.33% in September 2021, a 50% drop from August 2021.
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations registered a share of 8.33% in September 2021, a 200% rise over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 162.5% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s medical industry during September 2021 over previous month.
Danaher posted 7 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Sartorius with 4 jobs and a 100% growth. Smith & Nephew with 4 IT jobs and Arthrex with 3 jobs, recorded a 33.33% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Medtronic recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during September 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s medical industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 33.33% share in September 2021, a 71.43% increase over August 2021. Costa Rica featured next with a 25% share, down 43.75% over the previous month. Puerto Rico recorded a 13.89% share, a growth of 66.67% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.78%, up by 3.7% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 13.89% share, registered a decline of 16.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.33% share, flat growth over August 2021.
