Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 29.63% in October 2022, an 11.11% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 25.93% in October 2022, marking a 36.36% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 14.81% in October 2022, a 33.33% drop from September 2022.

Hinge Health posted 6 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a decline of 14.29% over the previous month, followed by Boston Scientific with 4 jobs and a 300% growth. Cooper Companies with 4 IT jobs and PerkinElmer with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Edwards Lifesciences recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during October 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s medical industry
Costa Rica commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 40.74% share in October 2022, an 8.33% decrease over September 2022. Brazil featured next with an 18.52% share, down 37.5% over the previous month. Chile recorded an 11.11% share, a flat growth compared with September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.56%, down by 28.57% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.22% share, registered a decline of 40% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 22.22% share, down 14.29% over September 2022.
