Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 55.77% in February 2022, a 3.57% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 11.54% in February 2022, marking a 50% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 9.62% in February 2022, a 150% rise from January 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 114.29% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s medical industry during February 2022 over previous month.
AlayaCare posted 7 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered an increase of 40% over the previous month, followed by Smith & Nephew with 7 jobs and a 600% growth. Envista with 6 IT jobs and BrainLAB with 5 jobs, recorded a 50% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Danaher recorded a 25% increase with 5 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s medical industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 36.54% share in February 2022, a 26.67% increase over January 2022. Costa Rica featured next with a 32.69% share, down 10.53% over the previous month. Bahamas recorded a 7.69% share, a flat growth compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.31%, up by 34.62% from January 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.15% share, registered a growth of 37.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 11.54% share, down 33.33% over January 2022.
