Switzerland’s medical industry registered a 14.6% drop in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.58% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 18.27% share in March 2022, recording a decrease of 1.2% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 102.92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s medical industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 85.38% in March 2022, registering a 19.78% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 6.43% share, an increase of 57.14% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 4.68%, registering a 46.67% decline from February 2022.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 4.68%, down 52.94% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 21.74% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s medical industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Sonova posted 152 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a drop of 19.58% over the previous month, followed by Ypsomed with 3 jobs and a 75% drop. Tecan Group with 3 IT jobs and VirtaMed with 2 jobs, recorded a 50% growth and a 33.33% decrease, respectively, while Bruker recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.42%, down by 19.86% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.37% share, registered a decline of 15.15% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.2% share, down 31.58% over February 2022.
