The UK’s medical industry registered a 22.0% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 13.53% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.42% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.64% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s medical industry in August 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 35.92% in August 2022, registering a 9.76% decline over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 35.92% share, a decrease of 53.75% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 12.62%, registering a 91.56% decline from July 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 8.74%, down 18.18% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 62.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s medical industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Arjo posted 40 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 135.29% over the previous month, followed by Danaher with 9 jobs and a 28.57% growth. ResMed with 6 IT jobs and Steris with 5 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a 66.67% growth, respectively, while Randox Laboratories recorded a decline of 54.55% with 5 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.82%, down by 71.26% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.42% share, registered a decline of 9.09% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.77% share, down 50% over July 2022.
