The UK’s medical industry registered a 10.9% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.32% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.2% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 2.01% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in the UK’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.21% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s medical industry in April 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.05% in April 2022, registering a 26.26% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 28.7% share, an increase of 156% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 5.83%, registering a 43.48% decline from March 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.38%, up 140% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 1123.08% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s medical industry during April 2022 over March 2022.

Intelerad Medical Systems posted 126 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Danaher with 12 jobs and a 100% growth. Sartorius with 8 IT jobs and Agilent Technologies with 7 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 133.33% growth, respectively, while Medica Group recorded a flat growth with 6 job postings during April 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 87.89%, up by 75% from March 2022. Entry Level positions with an 8.07% share, registered a decline of 30.77% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 4.04% share, down 60.87% over March 2022.
