The US’s medical industry registered a 5.6% drop in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.83% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.49% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.03% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 95.61% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s medical industry in June 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.8% in June 2022, registering a 30.78% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 20.42% share, an increase of 85.39% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.92%, registering a 32.23% decline from May 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 8.35%, down 20.12% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 40.49% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s medical industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
Intelerad Medical Systems posted 167 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 187.93% over the previous month, followed by Thermo Fisher Scientific with 117 jobs and a 154.35% growth. Abbott Laboratories with 80 IT jobs and Becton Dickinson and with 79 jobs, recorded a 5.26% growth and a 36.8% decrease, respectively, while Laboratoryof America Holdings recorded an increase of 17.46% with 74 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.49%, down by 10.47% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.55% share, registered a decline of 37.05% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.96% share, down 14.91% over May 2022.
