The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.76% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.03% share in October 2021, recording an increase of 0.28% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 2.57% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s medical industry during October 2021 over September 2021.

InVitae posted 129 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 53.57% over the previous month, followed by Becton Dickinson and with 125 jobs and a 28.16% drop. Hill Rom with 119 IT jobs and Medtronic with 115 jobs, recorded an 11.21% flat growth and a 2.68% flat growth, respectively, while Abbott Laboratories recorded an increase of 3.74% with 111 job postings during October 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.67%, down by 6.46% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 26.76% share, registered a decline of 5.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.13% share, up 21.35% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.44%, recording a month-on-month decline of 15.38%.
