The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.53% in January 2022 when compared with December 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.83% share in January 2022, recording an increase of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.

Top five medical companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in January 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 45.87% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s medical industry during January 2022 over December 2022.

Sonova posted 173 IT jobs in January 2022 and registered a rise of 11.61% over the previous month, followed by Abbott Laboratories with 170 jobs and a 165.63% growth. Thermo Fisher Scientific with 149 IT jobs and Becton Dickinson and with 149 jobs, recorded a 65.56% growth and a 13.74% growth, respectively, while Medtronic recorded an increase of 46.91% with 119 job postings during January 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in January 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.88%, up by 26.66% from December 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.22% share, registered an increase of 15.3% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 15.42% share, up 5.5% over December 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.47%, recording a month-on-month increase of 62.5%.
