Averly Health has launched in the UK, aiming to unify what it views as the National Health Service’s (NHS) fragmented approach to care for cardiometabolic health conditions.
Established by chronic care service Reset Health and the UK’s largest digital pharmacy, Pharmacy2U, the new service aims to increase delivery capacity and establish clearer accountability for patient care and long-term outcomes.

Noting that the services and infrastructure underpinning Averly Health already support more than two million patients every month, the companies stated that the service will focus on supporting care access provisions for patients, including those who have been prescribed glucagon-like peptide receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) for weight loss, to receive behavioural support and ongoing clinical care to sustain weight loss.
According to Averly, the current provision for cardiometabolic care is fragmented across separate assessment, prescribing, pharmacy and follow-up services, meaning that patients are forced to navigate multiple providers, with commissioners required to manage different organisations, systems and data sources.
By bringing these services together into one fully integrated service, from clinical assessment through to long-term outcomes monitoring, Averly asserts that its model will give patients a more coordinated experience and allow commissioners greater oversight of access, service performance and patient outcomes across the full care pathway. In addition, the model will remove the “complexity, fragmentation and risk” associated with managing multiple disconnected providers, the company added.
Reset Health CEO, Oliver McGuinness, commented: “With the launch of Averly Health, we are proud to establish the UK’s most comprehensive cardiometabolic care service. This sets a new standard for accessible, scalable health services designed to expand access and transform care in every postcode.
“Our new model has been designed to operate at scale, maintain the highest levels of clinical oversight and sustained support that patients need, while reimagining how the NHS can secure the best possible long-term outcomes for patients.”
Improving patient access to health services is one of the key aims of the UK Labour government’s 10-year plan for the NHS. A key strategy in meeting this aim includes the introduction of more community care centres that are intended to improve patient access to general practitioners (GPs), dentists and other services, including mental health support and smoking cessation clinics in “every community across the country”, according to former Labour Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Josh Bottomley, CEO of Pharmacy2U, said: “The NHS and other healthcare systems need practical ways to extend access to care while maintaining high standards of clinical quality, safety and patient experience. Averly Health delivers those outcomes through one integrated service that is built for national scale, can respond to local needs and grow in line with commissioned demand over the long term.”
