Medical devices and telemedicine solutions provider CMI Health has introduced a new app-based asthma-management platform, AsthmaGo.

AsthmaGo is a home asthma self-management solution comprising home-use medical devices and a mobile application.

It enables individuals with asthma and other respiratory conditions to assume command over their health and enhance their quality of life, all from the convenience of their own homes.

The platform is expected to help asthma patients easily monitor and manage their respiratory condition.

CMI Health chief operations officer Dr JC Ren said: “AsthmaGo becomes very handy when caring for asthmatic kids as parents.

“You can take measurements at home and manage data with a smartphone. Or even monitor during the night with our OxyKnight Watch for peace of mind.”

With AsthmaGo, patients can monitor asthma symptoms, lung performance, medication usage and air quality. The platform uses trend graphs and allows users to make health-related decisions in real time.

The AsthmaGo App supports pairing with medical devices such as SpiroLink, CMI Health’s digital spirometer and various smart oximeters, to provide users a clear and precise view of their daily lung performance and oxygen saturation levels.

The mobile application features an alarm to monitor real-time oxygen saturation and pulse rate to alert users about an oncoming or ongoing asthma attack.

It also provides users with the option to take the Asthma Control Test at regular intervals to assess their condition.

Through AsthmaGo, individuals can download and share their reports with their caregiver or healthcare professional, facilitating better-informed treatment choices and delivering tailored care.

Ren added: “AsthmaGo lets you take full control of your health if you struggle with asthma, by having access to over-the-counter devices and convenient features within the app.”

CMI Health will launch AsthmaGo at the ongoing American Thoracic Society conference, being held in Washington, DC, US.
