DentalMonitoring has introduced ScanBoxpro, a new version of its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered dental scanner.

The new, portable offering is based on the earlier version of ScanBox and can be used by patients for AI-powered dental scans to support orthodontic treatments.

ScanBoxpro comprises two components, namely a smartphone holder and cheek retractor tube, which draws the cheeks and lips away from the buccal and labial surfaces of the teeth and gums during scanning.

When paired with the DentalMonitoring DM app, the scanner can offer consistent imaging of the teeth and gums over time to help in determining treatment progress.

It can offer sharp occlusal and lateral views. Additionally, the device has autoclavable capacity.

All patients above six years of age can use ScanBoxpro.
