Air Liquide SA has acquired EOVE, a French designer and manufacturer of ventilators for home-based patients suffering from chronic respiratory failure.

Based in France, Air Liquide is a supplier of industrial gases and services to medical, chemical and electronic manufacturers.

The acquisition will boost Air Liquide’s expertise in home ventilation for chronic respiratory failure.

Flexan LLC has completed the acquisition of IntroMed LLC, a contract manufacturer of patented sheath introducers, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition enables Felxan to add IntroMed’s capabilities and technology to its array of contract manufacturing services.

Based in the US, Flexan is a manufacturer of custom, silicone, rubber and thermoplastic components, while IntroMed, also based in the US, is a manufacturer of patent-protected sheath introducers used in catheter placements.

The acquisition will also enable the acquirer company to expand its contract manufacturing services for the medical device industry.

Boston Scientific has completed the acquisition of women’s health specialist company nVision Medical for $275m.

Under the terms of the deal, Boston will pay $150m upfront, while nVision will be eligible for the remaining $125m based on potential clinical and commercial milestones over the next four years.

Boston Scientific expects the acquisition to allow it to enter the women’s health segment with the addition of nVision’s US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared device developed to collect cells from the fallopian tubes.

Based in the US, Boston Scientific is a manufacturer and marketer of medical devices, while nVision, also based in the US, is a medical technology innovations provider.

Kohlberg and Company LLC has signed an agreement to acquire Cadence for an undisclosed sum.

Based in the US, Kohlberg is a private equity firm, while Cadence, also based in the US, provides precision components and finished devices for advanced surgical and specialty industrial applications.

The acquisition will enable the acquirer company to accelerate the expansion of its capabilities and customer servicing ability in all of its core locations.
