UK-based medical devices manufacturing firm LivaNova PLC is set to increase its stake in ImThera Medical Inc, a US-based neurostimulation medical device manufacturer, to 100% by acquiring the remaining interest in the company.

LivaNova has been associated with ImThera since 2011 as an investor.

The purchase consideration for the acquisition will be $225m, which includes $78m of upfront payment and the remaining $147m to be paid based on regulatory and sales milestones.

The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is set to close next year.

Technology vendor eRT Investment Corp has acquired cardiac safety services provider iCardiac Technologies Inc.

The deal, whose transaction terms have not been disclosed, will add the target company’s highly advanced cardiac safety solutions to the acquirer company’s portfolio.

The acquisition has been made from venture capital firm Norwest Venture Partners.

CompuGroup Medical SE, a software solutions provider for the healthcare industry, has fully acquired Advanced Technology Explained NV.

The target company offers software development services to dentists, orthodontists and periodontists.

The acquisition strengthens CompuGroup’s presence in the Belgian market.

Surgical equipment design and contract manufacturing services provider Cirtec Medical LLC has acquired Germany-based nitinol tubing manufacturer Vascotube Gmbh for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition expands Cirtec medical’s interventional therapy capabilities and helps in serving customers with advanced devices.

Cirtec Medical aims to expand its presence in Europe through the acquisition.
