Esaote expands ultrasound portfolio with new platform

Italian medical diagnostics developer Esaote has launched its new MyLab 9 ultrasound platform designed to deliver quality images, smart workflow and improved performance.

Italian medical diagnostics developer Esaote has launched its new MyLab 9 ultrasound platform designed to deliver quality images, smart workflow and improved performance.

The new ultrasound includes a touch-tool technology, easyMode, which eliminates complex technical operations and enables users to focus on patient examination.

Meant for hospitals, clinics and private practices, the device includes upgradability, options for long-term maintenance, remote serviceability and compatibility for a transducer.

Esaote chief global marketing officer Massimo Rosa said: “Today, economic constraints and the increase in average life expectancy are opposing forces.

“The MyLab 9 eXP provides advanced diagnostic capabilities and clinical efficacy to respond effectively to the most demanding healthcare needs, expanding the access to innovative technologies for more customers.”

MyLab 9 comes with the firm’s i-motion technology that ensures high image quality and frame rate, along with fast boot-up and standby modes.

The device features ergonomic Italian design, easy user interface, touchscreen, and different visualisation tools. It also supports various diagnostic imaging environments for enhanced productivity.

Esaote High-End Ultrasound Product marketing manager Luca Bombino said: “We invested in technologies that have a real clinical impact, improving image acquisition, diagnostic confidence and patient throughput.

“Our multi-modality approach allows quick access to other imaging modalities and PACS systems, for immediate clinical follow-up and fusion imaging.”

With research and production facilities in Italy and the Netherlands, Esaote primarily focuses on biomedical equipment industry through ultrasound, MRI and associated software offerings.
