Clear aligner orthodontics developer, Align Technology, has completed the acquisition of its distributor, Align Technology Do Brasil LTDA, with an aim to concentrate on the commercial, marketing and operational needs of doctors and patients in Brazil.
Align Technology will acquire a small team of employees from the distributor, who will continue working in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as part of the transaction.

Align aims to exploit the growing orthodontic market in Brazil and establish itself as a leader in orthodontic and restorative dentistry, as well as support its long-term growth strategy, through the acquisition.
Medical laboratory tests and services provider, Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (LabCorp), intends to acquire Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories (PAML) from Providence Health & Services and Catholic Health Initiatives.
LabCorp will also acquire PAML’s interest in a number of joint ventures including Colorado Laboratory Services (CLS), Kentucky Laboratory Services (KLS), MountainStar Clinical Laboratories (MSCL), PACLAB Network Laboratories (PACLAB) and Tri-Cities Laboratory (TCL), as part of the transaction.
